No.11 opened at 16.74 and traded with a relatively steady tone early on before buying interest began to build, lifting the market through the morning and into the session high of 17.11. That strength proved difficult to sustain however, and the market gradually lost momentum as selling pressure emerged through the afternoon. The decline became more pronounced later in the session, with values falling sharply toward the day’s low of 16.22 before recovering part of the move into the close, potentially helped by some short covering after the sell off. No.11 ultimately settled at 16.43, well below the opening level and leaving the session with a softer overall tone despite the strong move higher earlier in the day.

No.5 opened at 512.50 and spent the first part of the session gradually working higher, with buying interest helping the market build through the mid-510s before extending toward the session high of 520.90. The move higher was relatively orderly, but once the market failed to hold above the upper end of the range, the tone began to soften. Prices then eased back in stages through the afternoon, with rallies becoming progressively shallower as sellers gained control. The pressure intensified into the latter part of the session, where the market broke sharply lower and eventually reached the day’s low of 504.80. A small recovery followed, potentially helped by some potential short covering after the late drop, but it was not enough to materially change the tone. No.5 ultimately closed at 506.90, leaving the day with a distinctly weaker finish after spending much of the earlier session trading at significantly higher levels.
