Oct’25 opened the session at 16.35c/lb, trading quietly between 16.35–16.40c in the early morning. Light speculative buying briefly pushed the market to an intraday high of 16.42c/lb, but the upward momentum did not last. Prices began to soften and by midday, a gradual retreat towards 16.28c was observed, driven by possible small-scale liquidations and lack of buyer interest. Activity remained muted through the early afternoon, with the contract finding temporary support just above 16.20c. However, selling pressure re-emerged late in the day, pushing prices to a session low of 16.12c/lb around 17:30, marking the lowest point of the week. A modest late bounce followed into the close, with Oct’25 settling at 16.20c/lb, a 0.14c loss on the day.

White Sugar Update
The Oct’25 white sugar contract opened at $467.40, briefly firming to a high of $470.80 during the early session on modest upward momentum. However, the strength was short-lived as selling pressure emerged mid-morning, gradually weighing on the market. Prices eased through the afternoon as buyers stepped back, and the contract dipped to an intraday low of $463.20. Although a short-lived recovery attempt was seen late in the second half of the session, it failed to gather traction. The market remained soft into the close, settling at $464.70, down $2.70 on the day. Overall, the contract stayed within the broader $463–471 range, showing no clear conviction either side.
