• A combination of the May expiry and movements from players of the tape delivery saw a record of 1.2mmt of raws nominated in CS.
• All sugar operating terminals are now close to max capacity and further nominations will be forcefully rolled into June.

• Out of the 1.2mmt of raws nominated this week, 500kmt are for June shipments.

• Out of the nominations this week, 180kmt are for Bangladesh – total Q2 nominations stands at 346kmt.
• For Indonesia, over 100kmt nominated taking total offtake in Q2 so far to 391kmt.

Port Situation: Covid – 19

• The capital of Maranhão state, São Luís, where Itaqui port is located, became the first large Brazilian city to implement a lockdown to combat the new coronavirus this week. However, according to the port authorities this will not affect the operations
• The remainder of Brazilian ports are functioning normally.
• A lockdown in Sao Paulo state is under consideration and could have a logistical impact for sugar arriving at Santos.
