• Waiting times for raw sugar vessels to berth at Santos in Brazil were less than 2 days in July.
• This is a record low for this time of the year and highlights how poor physical demand for raw sugar has been recently.

• TCH continues to fall and with it the volume of cane crushed in the period: 46.69 mmt, an effect already expected.
• Impact also seen in sugar concentration, coming lower than expected: 146.9 kg/tc 

• European PET demand has been strengthening since July.
• Warmer weather and loosening COVID restrictions have helped here.
• Flooding in parts of Northwest Europe did cause logistical problems, however, but buyers are still shopping local.
