In an era when many commodities are available on demand, it is easy to forget about seasonality.

Just like any crop, growing seasons for fruit are dictated by climate, rainfall and environmental conditions. For many fruits, there are two harvest periods per year – one in the northern hemisphere and one in the southern – but this is not always the case.

For anyone interested in the fruit supply chain, it is vital to know when and where each crop is in season, so we put together a calendar charting fruit supply in different regions and countries around the world.

In the four years prior, Sara lived in Mexico City, where she worked as a bilingual journalist and editor across several key industries, including mining, oil and gas, and health.
